How much do you treasure your PANDORA bracelet?

As a follow up to our 'Buyer Beware' article on the dangers of mixing different branded beads with PANDORA, we're bringing you a true-life story about the perils of what can happen when you add other brands to your PANDORA bracelet.

Here's a tragic account of what happened to an unlucky customer when he mixed brands...

"I purchased a PANDORA bracelet as a Christmas present for my wife, and I later purchased some charms elsewhere. She also had some charms bought for her by other people, some of which were Chamilia, which they had been told would fit a PANDORA bracelet.

Upon opening her bracelet my wife began to fix the charms on. Most went on fine, but one of the charms, a Chamilia one did not easily go on. My wife decided to remove it but while she was taking it off, the bracelet broke midway between two of the screw sections. She had not handled the bracelet in any way forcefully, but was of course devastated."

Unfortunately, for this customer and others like him, using charms other than PANDORA voids the bracelet warranty. We don't want this to happen to you. Don't be fooled by other brands that claim to be compatible with PANDORA.

PANDORA was the first to come up with the 'screw thread' which other brands including Chamilia copied, in theory making their beads compatible with PANDORA.

However, PANDORA has a unique tool- we like to call it their secret weapon- they use it within their quality control process to check the screw threads, insuring that they're all the same size. Other brands don't do this, meaning thread sizes can vary from bead to bead and any impairment such as a tiny bobble of solder can stop the bead from screwing on the bracelet properly.
