So where do you start?

If there’s one that you like straight away, then pop it into your shopping basket. If you prefer to ‘design’ a Pandora bracelet yourself then, like a new garden, it is always good to have an initial idea or layout of what you desire.
Think about the colours you wear the most and your other jewellery eg rings, earrings, watches to decide if a sterling silver bracelet, an oxidised silver (black) bracelet or a 14K gold bracelet will be best for you. Pandora braclets come in 8 different sizes from 16cm to 23cm. Most people take 18,19, 20 or 21cm. To find the correct length Pandora bracelet for you, measure your wrist with a tape measure just behind the wrist bone and add 2-3cm. Remember that as you collect more Pandora charms and beads the bracelet will become slightly smaller. Longer bracelets will drop down onto the hand more.
Once you have decided on which Pandora bracelet is best for you, you need to choose a clasp. You have two options, the lobster clasp which is easy to take on and off, the cheaper of the two, or the Pandora locking clasp which closes like a clam shell and looks like a bead when shut. It’s not as easy to open but 75% of people choose the Pandora locking clasp.

Once you have chosen your Pandora bracelet and clasp you can then go shopping! Shopping on this website is really like opening Pandora’s box – each category of beads – silver, letter, pearl and sparkly, birthstone, gold etc is full of beads, all waiting to get out of their dark little boxes and out into the big wide world! Beads come in sterling silver, sterling silver with gold or 14K gold. Many beads are embellished with oxidised silver, a black effect to bring out a pattern, or encrusted or embedded with cubic zirconia (CZ), the closest imitation of diamonds, with pearls, or semi-precious stones like peridot, amethyst and lapis.
With over 600 Pandora beads to choose from it’s a good idea to put the ones that catch your eye into your shopping basket (don’t worry, you don’t have to buy them, it will just keep track of the ones you like). You will see that the Pandora charms and beads you are clicking on ‘add to basket’ will actually appear on the virtual bracelet builder at the top of the screen. Great isn’t it? Have fun adding more beads, spacers, clip-ons and safety chains until you have designed your very own Pandora bracelet.
You can choose to buy the whole lot or buy the bracelet and a few charms now and put the other beads you would like into your wish list. The wish list is a great way of remembering what Pandora beads you would like next or letting other people know which ones you like – even better! Prices for Pandora beads and charms vary from £12, for a silver spacer, to £875 for a 25th wedding anniversary 14k gold and diamond bead! However, there are lots of beads around £20 to £25.
